Lock Safety Tips:

• When leaving the house, even for a short period of time, (taking out the trash, or getting the mail), always take a key with you. Most lockouts occur when you "step out".

• It's always a good idea to give a spare key to a good friend or a family member that lives near by.

• If you are experiencing difficulty in locking a deadbolt or closing a door don't wait. call a locksmith as soon as possible. Locks that are not aligned with the door frame often fail leaving you locked out,even though you have the key. A simple plate aligning would solve the problem.

• If your lock is broken, do not try and fix it yourself unless you are trained to do so. We get countless calls from customers who, while trying to "fix it" lost some pieces, leaving us with no choice but replacing the whole lock.

• If the key is difficult to turn in the lock, try spraying a little bit of lubricant into the key hole.
